I have been contemplating Nature much more closely now that Fall is upon us and Winter approaches. The cloak of darkness, cold and damp. Will I survive this Winter? Will I see the next Spring? This is the basic thought and emotion of all mammals and also in the background thought of homo sapiens. This year I am really enjoying the slow wrap up and harvest of the season including the earlier sunsets. In the evenings for the most part I have gone to no electricity and only candlelight. Pure fire lighting the dark rooms. In the stillness of this interior landscape I noticed one evening my dahlia bouquet lit by one candle and this is the image that I captured. Numinous!
